1. Information we collect

Because Easy Speed does not have any user accounts, backend servers, or login systems, we do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information (PII). The app only accesses the following data temporarily, exclusively on your device, for the sole purpose of performing a speed test:

2. How we use your information

Since no information is sent to us or stored externally, the only usage is on your device:

• Perform speed tests: measure download/upload speed, latency (ping), and jitter using standard network protocols (HTTP/ICMP). Test data is exchanged with public speed test servers (e.g., measurement lab partners).
• Display real-time metrics: show results inside the app interface, helping you understand your connection performance up to 5G speeds.
• No profiling, advertising, or sharing: Easy Speed does not track user behaviour, does not serve targeted ads, and does not sell any data (we collect nothing to sell).

Important: Because there is no backend, we cannot access your test history. Once you close the app or clear local cache, all temporary data vanishes.

3. Third-party network servers

Easy Speed relies on public or open-source speed test endpoints to provide accurate bandwidth measurement. During a test, your device directly communicates with these servers (e.g., Ookla speed test compatible endpoints, Cloudflare, or other measurement providers). The exchange is anonymous and temporary:

• The third-party server may log anonymized request data (such as your public IP address at the time of test) for infrastructure monitoring and service improvement, according to their own privacy policies. Easy Speed has no control over those logs, but we do not send any personal identifier or account info.
• We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the underlying speed test providers (if any), however Easy Speed is not responsible for their data handling. The app uses standard HTTP requests without authentication.
• No cookies or persistent identifiers are stored by Easy Speed; any temporary network data is discarded after test completion.

4. Data sharing & disclosure

Easy Speed does not share any personal data because we do not collect it. There are no analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking libraries embedded in the app that transmit data externally. The only external communication is the speed test data packets between your device and measurement servers, which is necessary for the core functionality. That data is not associated with any user account (since accounts don't exist).

We will never disclose any information to third parties because there is no information to disclose. If required by law, we would have nothing to provide.

5. Data retention & deletion

As there is no backend storage, no cloud database, and no user profiles, Easy Speed does not retain any personal data beyond the current session. Temporary network buffers are cleared immediately after each test. You can delete the app at any moment, and all local state (if any) will be removed from your device. There is no remote data to request deletion of.

No account, no data to delete — your privacy is absolute by design.

6. Children's privacy

Easy Speed does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age. The app does not require registration, does not ask for age, and does not target children. Since no data is collected, there is no risk of unauthorised processing of children's information. Parents and guardians can rest assured that the app operates entirely offline in terms of user data.

7. Security measures

Although we don’t store your data, we design Easy Speed to minimise any potential exposure. All network test communication uses standard secure protocols (HTTPS where available). The app does not request unnecessary permissions, reducing the attack surface. Because no personal data resides on our servers, there is no risk of a server breach affecting your privacy.

Your device’s operating system security protects the app sandbox; we encourage you to keep your device updated.

8. Your privacy rights

Given that Easy Speed collects no personal information, rights such as access, rectification, erasure, and portability are automatically satisfied because there is no data to access or delete. If you believe we inadvertently handled any data, you can contact us (details below), and we will investigate – however the app architecture guarantees that no backend or logging system exists.

For European Economic Area (EEA) users: We do not process any personal data, so GDPR compliance is inherent. We do not rely on consent or legitimate interest for data collection, as there is none.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect minor clarifications or changes in speed test server endpoints. Any update will be posted within the app (if feasible) or on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of Easy Speed after modifications means you accept the updated policy.
